Client Representation Form

I understand and agree to:

  • Equal and fair treatment: Volunteer attorneys provide the same level of quality and commitment to all clients. Pro Bono and Modest Means clients are given the same priority, dedication and resources as other matters.

  • Fees: Volunteer attorneys agree to undertake this representation on a Pro Bono or Modest Means basis.
    Pro Bono Program: no professional fees
    Modest Means Program: $40 initial consultation; retainer of $1,250 (designed to cover the first 10 hours of work), and billing at $125/hr

  • Communication: The volunteer attorney will keep you informed about the status of your case and consult with you before making any significant decisions about your case. Your attorney will disclose in a timely fashion any new developments relating to your legal matter and how those developments might be handled.

  • Confidentiality: The volunteer attorney will keep all of your sensitive information confidential unless you authorize it to be disclosed or the volunteer attorney’s firm policy allows disclosure of information in order to properly represent you.

  • Efficiency: The volunteer attorney cannot guarantee success of any given matter, but will strive to represent your interests professionally and efficiently.
