Address Confidentiality Program
The Colorado Address Confidentiality Program is a statewide service that provides a legal substitute address and mail forwarding services to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking/harassment, as well as protected healthcare workers. This is a no-cost resource that can help improve a survivor’s safety plan. Visit the Enrollment Page to find out about eligibility and the application process.
CASA
CASA of the Pikes Peak Region screens, trains, and supports qualified volunteers in advocating for children who are victims of abuse, neglect, and/or domestic violence through a variety of programs and services. The Supervised Exchange & Parenting Time (SEPT) Program provides a safe and monitored environment where children can develop and maintain relationships with non-custodial parents. CASA’s Level 1 Parenting Class is required for all divorcing parents and allocation of parental responsibility cases in El Paso and Teller Counties where children under the age of 18 are involved.
Center on Fathering
The mission of the Center on Fathering is to strengthen, encourage and support fathers to be actively and positively involved in the care and development of their children. The Center has information and services for all fathers, regardless of their situation. The Center also encourages mothers and daughters, who might have questions about fathering, to utilize the Center on Fathering. Anyone in the community that would like to learn more about the benefits for father involvement and the gifts men give to their children is welcome to contact the Center on Fathering. Colorado Legal Services
Colorado Legal Services (CLS) is a nonprofit statewide law firm. Their mission is to provide meaningful access to high quality civil legal services in the pursuit of justice for as many low-income persons and members of vulnerable populations throughout Colorado as possible. There is no cost for their services. CLS aims to provide meaningful access to basic necessities such as housing, freedom from violence, and access to public benefits including healthcare. CLS provides advice, brief services, and full representation the following areas: Civil protection orders based on domestic violence or elder abuse, allocation of parental responsibilities actions (custody), dissolution of marriage actions (divorce), forcible entry and detainer actions (eviction), debt collection defense, basic estate planning, appeal of denial of public benefits, tax law, special education law, foreclosure defense, obtaining a state ID. DOVE
Supporting Colorado Deaf survivors healing journeys. DOVE provides direct services to Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing (DDBDDHH) victims of domestic violence (DV), sexual assault (SA) and other forms of abuse state-wide in Colorado.
24- hour crisis intervention, advocacy, information and referral.
Youth advocacy and prevention
Resiliency services - promote long- term healing workshops for DDBDDHH survivors as
well as BIPOC healing workshops.
DOVE also provides community education and outreach, training and technical assistance for hearing services providers.
El Paso County Child Support Services
CSS: The Child Support Services Unit establishes paternity and child support orders, modifies child support orders, and enforces child support orders (and spousal maintenance orders when owed with a child support order). In addition, the CSS Unit has the Parent Opportunity Program (POP) which assists parents who owe child support in finding employment and overcoming barriers to the payment of support.

FSR: The Family Support Registry is Colorado’s state disbursement unit for child support and/or spousal maintenance payments. The FSR receives, records and disburses support payments (for enforcement of support orders, see the CSS Unit information above). El Paso County Bar Association
The EPCBA Lawyer Referral & Information Service (LRIS) is designed to match you with a qualified, full-rate attorney and additional resources for your situation. LRIS attorneys charge up to $100 for their initial consultations and standard rates/fees upon retention. An online request form can be found at www.epcbalawyers.org
Family Promise
Family Promise of Colorado Springs provides safe and compassionate temporary shelter for children and their families who are situationally unhoused.
Through our Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) Program, Family Promise of Colorado Springs provides safe and compassionate temporary shelter for up to four situationally unhoused families with children under 18 years old. We keep families together while providing the support and tools they need to achieve independence and secure stable housing.
We utilize a rotational shelter program in which families stay with congregations for a week and have access to numerous supportive services at our day center. We strive to provide our families with hope, safety, stability, and hospitality while protecting their dignity through quality trauma-informed case management. Karen Horgen Prevention Program (KHPP) – Through rental and utility assistance offered through KHPP, FPCOS offers a prevention program to keep families housed in times of need. Assistance of up to $2,500 is provided to families monthly on a lottery basis and more information can be found at:

Fort Carson Victim Advocacy Program
The Victim Advocacy Program (VAP) provides crisis intervention and follow-up support services to adult victims of domestic violence. Services include, but are not limited to: 24 hour on call telephonic crisis response, safety planning, information on reporting options to include restricted (confidential) or unrestricted reporting, assistance with obtaining a civilian protection order and/or a military protection order, guidance and explanation about the Army’s investigation process for incidents of domestic abuse, advocating on your behalf with Command when requested, and valuable information regarding on and off Post referrals and resources. Victim Advocacy services are available to Service Members, their current or former spouses, an individual with whom the Service Member shares a child, and/or a significant other of a Service Member who shares the same household. Victim Advocacy services are provided at no cost to eligible participants.

Haseya Advocate Program
Haseya’s vision is that every Indigenous woman will be treated with respect, honored as a sacred being, and live a safe and peaceful life. Haseya provides advocacy for Native survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking in El Paso County. All services are free and confidential. We provide safety planning, assistance with protection orders, women’s groups, cultural events, intensive one on one support, referrals, financial empowerment classes, limited housing assistance, transportation, court accompaniment, parenting classes and wellbriety support.
The Independence Center
The Independence Center is the local home of civil rights for people with disabilities. Working with individuals, their families, and the community, we create independence so that all may thrive. We are not an assisted living center; instead, our organization provides information, resources, and support to help people with disabilities live, learn, work, play, and participate in civic life as equals. Our services and programs are available to anyone in our service area who self-identifies as having a disability. This includes those with a cognitive, physical, or mental health disability, who have blindness or low vision, or who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing/Deaf Blind. Together, we are working to redefine disability to focus on the unique abilities of our communities, so all are Known, Valued, and Included.
Kingdom Builders Family Life Center
Kingdom Builders Family Life Center’s goal is to strengthen families and uplift communities through comprehensive support and empowerment. With a vision of fostering thriving, resilient families, we offer a range of services including culturally specific advocacy, mentoring, education and training, support services, and housing assistance. Additionally, we are proud to introduce our Project Right Direction youth violence prevention and interruption program. Through this initiative, we work tirelessly to address and prevent violence in our communities, providing resources, support, and intervention services to those in need. Our dedicated team is committed to providing compassionate care and personalized solutions to address the unique needs of each individual and family we serve.
Pikes Peak Library District
Pikes Peak Library District (PPLD) is a nationally recognized system of public libraries serving a population of more than 650,185 in El Paso County, Colorado. With fifteen facilities, online resources, and mobile library service, PPLD responds to the unique needs of individual neighborhoods and the community at large. Their mission is to provide resources and opportunities that impact individual lives and build community. They strive to reach all members of the community, providing free and equitable access to information and an avenue for personal and community enrichment.

Pikes Peak Paralegals
Pikes Peak Paralegals was organized and chartered in October of 1977 for the purpose of providing continuing legal education and to promote professionalism in the paralegal profession. The original name of the organization was Association of Legal Assistants of Colorado. The name was changed in April of 2005 upon motion of the Board to better reflect the organization’s location and educational goals. In September 1991, the organization incorporated under the name of Association of Legal Assistants of Colorado, Inc. (ALAC), a nonprofit corporation. ALAC was the FIRST affiliated association with the National Association of Legal Assistants, Inc. in 1978.
The Justice Center
The Justice Center has been working in the Pikes Peak region to increase and promote equal access to justice since 2011. They do this through three programs: Find-a-Lawyer providing free and reduced cost legal representation in the 4th Judicial District, Ask-a-Lawyer running free legal clinics about Colorado law through the phone, over email and in person, and Learn-with-Lawyers offering free legal educational tools to attorneys, their support staff, and the general public.
